Fieldtrip to Aso Volcano - Experience of Nature and study on disaster reconstruction
Aso Volcano is one of the largest caldera volcanos in the world. The region of Aso is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kyushu for spectacular volcanic views and hot springs. On the other hand, the region was heavily damaged by the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. The fieldtrip also visits disaster areas to study the impact on local inhabitants and infrastructure.
